Pumpkin or is it Jack-o-lantern
Halloween 2008
The first Halloween party we were invited to was on Saturday. It snuck-up on me. I wasn't able to sew up the beautiful creations that I had brewing in my head. Justin came to the rescue and helped the boys pull together some costumes. I was going to sew Keaton a skeleton costume, here is the variation. Nellie is Ariel. I ask her how does Ariel need her hair done. She says "red". I tell her that here hair is red. She says, "let me go check" she looks in the mirror and seems to be satisfied (or distracted by her beauty). Sam was an army man last week, but I pulled it together and made his Santa costume. He got a great reaction from the crowd. I dressed up as a 29 year old. Justin will probably come up with something by Halloween, I wonder what it will be.

Happy Birthday to me
My wonderful Mother-in-law came over bright and early Sunday morning to surprise the kids for my birthday. She brought gift and fun. She got the kids all excited to make me breakfast. They made pancakes that were an inch thick. It was a very nice surprise. Thank you Debbie!

Lest We Forget
This last weekend Justin and I were lucky enough to be Grandpa and Grandma on the stake pioneer trek. This is our 3rd trek. This time we were lucky to have Britt, our oldest niece, come on the trek too. Every time she saw us she would run over and give us a hug. I think she had fun. Because I am pregnant our bishop thought it would be better if I was not walking the whole trek as a Ma. We still wanted to go and volunteered for whatever else needed done. The youth in our ward were great fun. Fun Fun Fun!!!

Ode to a Sister
Today is my big sisters birthday. I thought what a better way to celebrate her then to write down all the things I love about her. One of her strengths is being able to find just the right thing for the situation online. Any question I have she is able to answer with a couple swift clicks of the buttons. So I found a poem off of Google and here is my sister. Happy Birthday!

An Ode to Sister
My sister.
More beautiful than
The brilliant colors of
Autumn's leaves
Gracefully floating through soft breeze
On a warm afternoon.
My sister.
As precious as a glistening gemstone
Mounted within the highest karats of gold.
My sister.
A woman of substance
Character
Nobility-
The personification of royalty.
My sister.
The reflection of elegance
Style
Grace
And charm.
My sister.
One whom I love
For the uniqueness-
Harmony and warmth
That only she can bring.
My sister.
As you celebrate this special day,
Just know that I cherish
Every moment that you have been
A part of my life
And I love you for all that you are--
Just you.
My sister.
